TRIBE Child Safety Standards

You must be 18 or older to use TRIBE (Terms of Service, section 1). Everyone confirms their age before using the app, and anyone who says they are under 18 cannot continue. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is never allowed on TRIBE. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualising a minor, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes. It applies to every message, gathering, crew, photo, profile, place and business on TRIBE.

• In the app: report any person, message, gathering, photo or place with Report, and block anyone in

Gather. A report reaches TRIBE's team; the person reported is not told who reported them.

• By email: [email protected], with "Child safety" in the subject. This is TRIBE's designated

contact for child safety, including questions about how we prevent CSAE.

• If a child is in immediate danger, call the police first: in Malaysia, 999.

• We act on every report and review it, normally within 24 hours, faster for a report about a child.
• We remove the content and close the accounts responsible, permanently, and stop them from returning.
• We report CSAM and child exploitation to the authorities: in Malaysia, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the

Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and to other national authorities where the law requires.

• We keep what the law requires us to keep for an investigation, and give it to the authorities when lawfully

asked.

• We screen text that people write on community surfaces before it is published, and refuse sexual terms there.

TRIBE complies with the child safety laws of Malaysia, including the Sexual Offences against Children Act 2017, the Child Act 2001 and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, and with the policies of the app stores TRIBE is published on.
